HFI and the Philippine Association of Landscape Architects (PALA) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) formalizing their partnership for the establishment of Pockets of Wellness, an urban medicinal plants garden, in Brgy 157 Zone 6 Pasay City last 07 September 2017.

HFI Executive Director Ma. Rebecca M. Galvez Tan led the MOA signing with PALA President Eric Estonido.

PALA will facilitate the participatory landscaping or designing of the Pockets of Wellness with the community members and will provide workshops on maintaining and sustainably harvesting the medicinal plant gardens.

The project is funded by the United Stated Embassy Club (USEC), a charitable giving and volunteer organization made up of U.S. Embassy Manila employees and their family members who are dedicated in improving the lives of women and children in the Philippines.
