Health Futures Foundation, Inc. turns over COVID-19 Community Isolation unit in Alitagtag
Health Futures Foundation, Inc. (HFI) spearheaded the turnover ceremony of the COVID-19 Community Isolation Unit at San Juan, Alitagtag Batangas last October 14, 2020. It was September of this year when the construction of these project started.
HFI and its partnership with Direct Relief and Unity in Isolation together with DOH4A, Alitagtag LGU, Palawan Pawnshop Pera Express Padala, Boysen Paints Philippines, UAP Laguna Chapters and Ardegal Construction played a vital role in the completion of the said project.
In attendance were Congresswoman Ma. Teresa “Maitet” Collantes, Alitagtag Mayor Ponggos, DOH4A Assitant Regional Director Dr. Paz Sydiongco, Maite and Johann Tarrayo, AR. Cesar Concio and AR. Paolo Concio of Unity in Isolation, Ryan Caringal and Neil Magkilat of Boysen Paints Philippines, UAP Laguna Chapter AR. Aries Misa, Jr., AR. Dave Galang of Ardegal Constructions, Armie Villaroman and Jojo de Ocampo of Smart Communications, Inc., and the Barangay officials of Alitagtag.
While doing physical distancing, the ceremony was formally open through a prayer song “Lead me Lord”, which was solemnly sung by Mr. Arnel Holgado. It was then followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem.
The welcome address was given by HFI Chairman Dr. Jaime Galvez Tan and he then introduced the guest speaker Dr. Gerald Alday who gave an inspiration message of thanks to HFI and its partners. He then continued his message informing everyone about the asymptomatic cases in Batangas that was over 600+ cases while on the other hand, there are 400+ cases who are currently COVID-19 positive.
He ended his speech by thanking and reminding everyone to stay safe during the pandemic.
Amidst the rainy day, the main event which was the ribbon cutting and turnover of keys of the community isolation unit to Mayor Edilberto Ponggos and Alitagtag MHO Dr. Flordeliza Castillo followed.
After the turnover of keys, Mayor Edilberto Ponggos along with the other attendees inspected the Community Isolation Unit.
The ceremony ended with Mayor Edilberto Ponggos, Congresswoman Ma. Teresa “Maitet” Collantes, DOH4A Assistant Regional Director Dr. Paz Sydiongco and Alitagtag MHO Dr. Flordeliza Castillo expressing their appreciation saying that the project will greatly uplift and help those residents of Alitagtag in fighting COVID-19.
