HFI and IPI Foundation, Inc. Partnership
The partnership between HFI and IPI Foundation, Inc. started last 2016. IPI Foundation, Inc. granted HFI with 10 midwife kits which HFI has distributed to its 10 ALAGA KA areas. Since then, the kits have been useful during pre-natal check-ups and maternal deliveries.
Fast forward, HFI received five additional midwife kits from IPI .oundation, Inc. last 05 November 2018 in IPI Las Piñas office. HFI Executive Director Mrs. Ma. Rebecca M. Galvez Tan, IPI Foundation Inc. Executive Director Ms. Lourdes Damazo, were present during the turnover of the kits. The Branch Head of IPI Las Pinas also witnessed the event.
Midwife Kits
A midwife kit contains 59 essential items to support a safe facility-based delivery. With medical equipment and supply contents of the kit, midwives can attend to up to 50 maternal deliveries. The kit also contains basic medicines needed during pre-natal check ups and maternal deliveries.
Recipient of Midwife Kit
Landan Birthing Home is the first recipient of the midwife kit. The kit was turned over by HFI Deputy Projects Director Ms. Elsie Cerveza to Landan NDP, Faith Juli and Landan midwife Sheryl Balco.
