18,000+ Pregnant Women, Infants, and Young Children to Benefit from the Initiative
In many low-income municipalities in the country, residents have little to no access to free and quality prenatal and postnatal care which consequently puts the lives of many expecting mothers and eventually, their young children at greater risk.
That is why in October 2021, Health Futures Foundation, Inc. (HFI), in collaboration with Vitamin Angels, distributed a total of 1,243 bottles of Vitamin A, Albendazole, and prenatal vitamins to six (6) partner communities: Capul and Lavezares in Northern Samar, Salcedo in Eastern Samar, Motiong in Samar, and San Luis and Taal in Batangas, in response to the growing health care needs of pregnant women, infants, and young children in these municipalities.
In partnership with Vitamin Angels, and the Municipal Health Offices of Capul, Lavezares, Salcedo, Motiong, San Luis, and Taal, this initiative is expected to benefit 18,300 residents in the said partner areas.
