The Best 100 Philippine Medicinal Plants, produced by HFI, receives Anvil Gold Award 2016.
The reference book, The Best 100 Philippine Medicinal Plants, written by HFI Chairman Dr. Jaime Galvez Tan and Dr. Isidro Sia received the prestigious Anvil Gold Award at the 2016 Anvil Awards “Gabi ng Parangal” last 26 February 2016 in Makati Shangrila.
The Anvil Awards is an annual competition conducted by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines to honor outstanding public relations programs and tools.
As a recipient of the Anvil Gold Awards, The Best 100 Philippine Medicinal Plants proved that herbal, traditional, and conventional medicine can be integrated to improve access to health care, especially for the marginalized.
Ms. Riva Galvez Tan, daughter of Dr. Galvez Tan, received the award on behalf of the authors and HFI.
